Witold Gombrowicz Museum

In the museum’s new educational and exhibition spaces in Wsola, the acoustics were individually tailored to the intended use. The implemented systems operate in multiple layers, creating a sense of comfort that directly enhances the visitor experience of the exhibition.

EcoWall Basic and EcoWall Tiles are solutions that create a calm, orderly backdrop depending on the function of the room. A properly designed sound environment enables audiences to focus on the presented content. Eliminating acoustic clutter improves the clarity of speech, both spoken and recorded.

We arranged the auditorium and circulation areas using the EcoBaffle ceiling system in several ways. They effectively absorb sound, and the irregularity of the suspension axis, as well as differences in the shape of the baffles themselves, emphasize the depth and directionality of the space. Long corridors no longer carry reverberation.

The tall lobby space gained support thanks to suspended display tubes finished with eco-friendly PET material. They function like ceiling islands, absorbing sound where it typically accumulates. Here, the important role of acoustics is particularly evident; the well-cared-for museum space does not overwhelm, but instead allows visitors to move in rhythm with the entire exhibition.

A carefully selected color palette, full of neutral grays, beiges, and accents of deep navy and green, makes the space calm and professional.

The Witold Gombrowicz Museum in Wsola is housed in a restored palace and today also in a modern building that stands next to it. The combination of historic architecture with a modern exhibition area enables a full experience of the writer's work and a confrontation with his ideas. Witold Gombrowicz is one of the most original Polish writers of the 20th century, known for his critical approach to convention and identity, which makes his work still relevant today.
