The goal of the KDesign design office was to create a space that reflects the modern character of the company. The realization of Nyquist included the finishing of the common areas of the building, acoustic adaptation of the auditorium and conference rooms. The most representative part of the facility is the main reception hall with concrete spiral stairs. To warm up the interior a bit, the corridors on each floor were covered with Wooden Baffle strips. Between them lies EcoBoard, a sound-absorbing material that significantly reduces echo noise.
Another interesting area is the dining space. Acoustic panels EcoTiles in bottle green were used on the walls, which resemble ceramic tiles in shape. In the main conference room, the NyquiWall system was used for acoustic adaptation. Instead of regular masking fabric, we used a special fabric with a two-color print. The ceiling was covered with wooden lattice panels. The smaller conference room was designed in an industrial style. For this reason, we used acoustic panels made of perforated, bent sheet metal on the walls.
The auditorium deserves special attention. In addition to standard sliding walls and curtains, we designed and made 3D wooden panels in the shape of asymmetrical pyramids. Thanks to the perforation on one side and the semi-open structure, the panels serve an absorbing function. The unusual shape also provides very good sound dispersion throughout the room.
