A fitness club is a place that generates a lot of noise from impact sounds, transferring to the ceiling from the free weights area, machines, or the crossfit room. In addition to performing a floating screed to reduce noise transmission to neighboring offices, we used special vibration isolation pads under all machines and treadmills.
In the free weights area, we used NyquiBoard N240 foam underlayment and Soundbock and V-MAT 350 soundproofing mats under the surface layer. To reduce the transmission of material sounds to the ceiling, the entire floor was isolated using a gap filled with N180 foam.
