We encountered a noise problem in this implementation and decided to address it. The most common causes of noise in stairwells that we encounter include:

• Lack of proper acoustic adaptation: Many stairwells are not equipped with suitable materials that affect the acoustics of the space. This causes noise to travel easily. 

• Construction materials: Stairs made of hard materials often generate more noise. Wood can creak, and concrete and metal can transmit the sounds of footsteps throughout the entire structure of the house.

• Frequent use: In homes where the stairs are heavily used, the noise becomes more noticeable, especially in the evening and night hours.

We focused primarily on solving the problem associated with the lack of proper acoustic adaptation. We used PET material from our EcoLine range and material from the NyquiWall line, also known as the tensioned fabric system. Such products can effectively reduce noise. EcoStripes and EcoWall were used as ceiling and wall panels. Their properties include eco-friendliness and easy installation. By placing them in the right locations, sound absorption and the reduction of noise transmission to other parts of the house will be minimized. The solution in the form of the tensioned fabric system, namely NyquiWall, applied as panels on the walls, allows for qualitative sound damping. The selection of products for acoustic adaptation perfectly matched the demand. Noise has effectively been reduced through sound absorption. Such adaptation improves acoustic comfort in the home, decreasing the nuisance of noise in the stairwells.
