The space, while visually striking, posed a major challenge. Conversations bouncing off the walls and the high vaulted ceiling created noise that made daily work requiring concentration impossible. The office in the historic tenement quickly revealed its dark acoustic nature. The need to tame uncontrolled sound without compromising the elegance of the interior prompted the company to seek solutions.
EcoLampRib is our original lighting fixture with a structure composed of soft, modular ribs. Their shape creates an impressive line above the work area, but most importantly, they serve the function of sound absorbers. The ribbed structure traps and disperses sound waves, effectively reducing noise transmitted between workstations. This has a significant impact on creating a more comfortable working environment, especially in spaces such as open-plan offices.
Evenly distributed light brings depth to the structure, creating a pleasant, warm atmosphere, and the natural character of the material and timeless appearance only emphasize its distinctive design.
The implementation at Excalibur Capital demonstrates that properly designed lighting can become one of the most important elements of acoustic office architecture.
