Cinema on a compact scale
The highest standard of image and sound is reserved solely for spacious interiors? This project proves that a compact living space can become a place for full-fledged film and music experiences.
The challenge of the implementation was to reconcile two worlds: high-quality home cinema with the everyday functioning of a small apartment. The space that previously served as both a relaxation and sleeping area has now become a fully-fledged private cinema. All the acoustic solutions used here remain discreet.
The 5.1 system required at least some adaptation. To reduce the reverberation negatively affecting the clarity and definition of the sound, acoustic foam panels, cut into the shape of decorative tiles, were applied to the walls.
On the ceiling, we installed an island of Manhattan diffusers. The rim of the island was made of lacquered strips and additionally highlighted with LED strips. We used spot lighting on the ceiling to create a cozier atmosphere in the interior while referencing the lighting known from commercial cinema halls.
