Hearing laboratory
The sound laboratory is a space where acoustic conditions cannot leave room for interpretation – they must be stable and predictable. The design of this space began with the assumption of creating an environment that would allow for the reliable conduct and reading of research results, which is why silence, control of reflections, and balanced reverberation time became the foundation of the entire concept.

In research rooms, controlling the reverberation time and eliminating unwanted reflections were crucial. The dedicated NyquiWall system proved to be excellent here. The tensioned wall system is a modern and minimalist finish for any type of interior. Installation allows for a smooth surface with excellent acoustic properties; the proper acoustic structure is completely invisible and hidden under the fabric. We used open-cell acoustic foam as an absorber in this case.
Additionally, the interior stabilizes the characteristics of the space across a wide frequency range, limits the phenomenon of standing waves, and allows for a neutral environment for conducting hearing tests.
In adapting the room, we also used NyquiTiles and WoodenTiles. These are modules with a spatial geometry that introduce controlled diffusion. They scatter sound energy, preventing the formation of sharp, directional reflections. In practice, this means greater signal clarity and more natural listening conditions.
