Cinema in a bright living room
Cinema halls usually operate in dim light, where the central source of illumination is the screen, and the lighting is typically spot lighting that complements and highlights the entire arrangement. In this project, we faced the challenge of transferring the character of a cinema hall to a bright interior, which serves as a living room on a daily basis.
The implementation of a home theater in an apartment is an example of a conscious acoustic adaptation of a modern living room. The key element of the project is the ceiling, on which we installed EcoCloud Custom ceiling islands. Their bright, neutral color scheme perfectly complements the wooden floor and furniture built-ins, while maintaining the lightness and homey character of the interior.
The shape and layout of the ceiling effectively reduce echo in the listening area, improving sound clarity, spatial effect precision, and the overall coherence of the home theater system's sound. Integrated linear LED lighting allows for a smooth transition from bright daytime mode to the atmospheric mood of evening screenings.
Completing the concept is the full integration of projection technology with the architecture of the ceiling. In the projection area, there is a screen that discreetly retracts from the ceiling, remaining completely invisible in daylight mode. This allows the living room to maintain its minimalist character.
The projector has been hidden directly within the structure of EcoCloud Custom. A specially designed cutout and proper recess of the device allowed for its visual
