General description of the service

When it comes to acoustics in a club or restaurant, quality sound equipment is the first thing that springs to most people’s mind. Owners who want to improve the sound of their establishment opt for expensive sound systems, usually neglecting the problem of the acoustics of the interior itself. All of this contributes to how well guests enjoy themselves and how they remember the place.

What will you gain by investing in acoustics?

1. The best possible sound

A music club or a restaurant are places where volume determines quality like nowhere else. If you want to create a place that your customers will love, it pays to think not only about good equipment, but also about the adaptation and acoustic insulation of the place. In our projects, we pay attention to the smallest details to refine the sound layer to absolute perfection.

2. Acoustics and aesthetics

When you work with us, you do not have to choose between either great sound or a designer interior. In our offer, you will find dozens of products that are available in many finishes and different colours. Thanks to these products, the acoustics in your club or restaurant will be unique. The products used not only improve the sound, but are also an important element used to complement the visual setting.

3. Satisfied neighbours

Inadequate soundproofing causes loud music or "booming" bass to reach the neighbours of your club or restaurant. To give you and your neighbours peace and quiet, it pays to provide adequate soundproofing at the building design stage. Improving the insulation post-factum is possible, but costly and less effective.

3. Single machines or the entire plant

A common mistake in club and restaurant design is failing to consider employees and artists in the planning process. These people are particularly vulnerable to being exposed to noise for many hours. In order to provide them with adequate working comfort, it is worth considering the appropriate adaptation of the stage and the insulation of the working spaces (the latter should be characterized by a sound insulation of at least Rw > 40dB).

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions.

First of all, it is necessary to verify the routes by which noise is transferred to the neighboring premises. There are many possibilities - walls, floor, ceiling, facade, ceiling beams, construction columns, ventilation, plumbing or electrical installation. After performing and analyzing acoustic measurements, we are able to advise optimal solutions in terms of effectiveness and costs. We also provide substantive and legal assistance in conducting talks with neighbors or other entities.

Yes, we have many years of experience in the selection of audio-video systems. Following the acoustic conditions in a given room, we select the appropriate speakers, subwoofers, amplifiers, mixers, sound sources, cabling and control systems. We also perform acoustic simulations of the sound system in the modeled room. Thanks to this, we can verify the effectiveness of the planned system, even before making a decision to buy it.

Yes, proper setting and tuning of the sound system has a significant impact on the sound quality. In addition to tuning, we select appropriate vibro-isolating elements for speakers and subwoofers that reduce noise transmission to neighboring premises. In case of problems with neighbors, it is also worth using a DSP processor with frequency correction and a volume limiter to reduce the impact of the most problematic frequencies.

Acoustic panels in the premises will improve the comfort of conversations, listening to music or eating meals. Reducing noise and reverberation will make customers feel better, and therefore more willing and more likely to visit us. The use of acoustic panels and soundproofing mats is recommended in places such as music clubs, restaurants, cafes, pubs, canteens and shops.

Yes, acoustics is closely related to interior design, so in addition to acoustics, we also employ architects who help us create a comprehensive project. Its scope is agreed with the investor each time and may include various industries: visual concept, equipment, furniture, lighting, sound system, etc.

Yes, we always work with architects. We try to make all acoustic panels so that they correspond to a given visual concept. We select appropriate materials and technologies for the production of acoustic panels. Acoustic adaptation should be as hidden as possible and constitute an integral part of the interior design.

Planning a studio should start with choosing the right location. A large amount of space for insulation, acoustic adaptation, the possibility of any space arrangement, appropriate proportions and size of rooms, quiet surroundings - these are things that will make it easier for us to arrange the room from the very beginning. After selecting the premises, an appropriate acoustic design of the studio should be developed, taking into account all sectors.

On a daily basis, we do not realize how many undesirable sounds reach our ears. It is only during the recording that we discover that every, even the smallest sound recorded by the microphone can make our work difficult. You should also take care not to disturb the silence of our neighbors during the recordings (sometimes lasting until late in the evening).

Like a guitar resonance box, each room has its own sound characteristics. Acoustic panels are responsible for shaping this sound in our studio. Sound reflections from walls, ceilings and floors cause phase shifts in relation to the sound that comes directly from the source. This makes us hear distortions and boosts in some bands. To prevent this, acoustic panels and bass traps should be used, which are adapted to the characteristics of the room and the sound engineer's workplace.

We start designing acoustics with acoustic measurements and inventory of the facility. Then we make a model of rooms and acoustic simulations. Based on the conducted analyzes, as well as arrangements with the investor, we prepare a project for individual industries: adaptation / acoustic insulation, electrics, electroacoustics, HVAC, interior design. At the end, we create 3D visualizations of rooms, quote acoustic panels and set a schedule of executive works.

In order to check whether the studio has good acoustic conditions, appropriate acoustic measurements should be carried out. In addition to objective parameters such as impulse response, reverberation time, clarity; we also define subjective parameters, e.g. intimacy, vividness or diffusivity of sound. For each analysis of measurements, we provide guidelines and tips: what and how should be improved in order to obtain the desired effect.

Yes, the execution and assembly of insulation / adaptation or audio systems requires high precision. That is why we employ our own installers who specialize in complex and unusual projects. Thanks to this, we take full responsibility for the effectiveness of our acoustic panels and we have a guarantee that everything has been made in accordance with the design.

Yes, we can make acoustic panels based on the provided design or we can only make the acoustic design ourselves. It is also possible to supervise the implementation of the project. In the case of self-assembly, we provide the necessary technical documentation and instructions. However, in the case of installation of advanced acoustic insulation, acoustics supervision is recommended, as any error may weaken the insulation properties of a given partition.

Nyquista's offer consists of both standard acoustic panels and soundproofing mats as well as custom-made solutions. Our experience in designing various types of rooms (offices, clubs, restaurants, recording studios, cinemas, theaters) allows us to draw inspiration from them and create unique solutions, tailored to a specific facility.

Yes, we often make personalized patterns of acoustic panels. Each project is a new challenge for us. We are happy to work with designers, architects and other people who have interesting ideas. We are constantly testing new acoustic materials and looking for innovative production technologies.

We usually carry out acoustic projects that require an individual approach. That is why we do not have a fixed price list for most acoustic panels. Each valuation is prepared separately, depending on the size and complexity of the project. If you need a quote, contact us and we will certainly provide you with the necessary information.

All acoustic panels and soundproofing jackets are produced in the Nyquista factory, located near Warsaw. We have our own machinery, paint shop and carpentry shop. Thanks to this, we control the entire production process ourselves.
